ADVENTURE
CONCERT
This project was originally designed to help children have an overview of the Bible and not be intimidated to read it. The songs are written in first person to teach children to talk & sing directly to God. But we started getting some interesting feed back from parents listening to the songs with their kids…they were gaining a new understanding and appreciation for the Bible!
So we developed a concert based on these children’s songs that gives families a complete overview of the Bible in a fun and creative way. This “big picture” of God’s story helps us see how God has been working throughout all time to bring us back to a relationship with Him.
Using music and videos, teaching and testimony, you will learn the names of the books in each section of the Bible and some of the content of each book. Together we will worship, laugh and be encouraged by the love of God as He has revealed Himself in His Word!
This concert features songs from Cassie & Billy’s children’s CD, the “Amazing Adventure”, which are available to continue to reinforce the impact of the concert. With many interactive moments, learning the Bible has never been so musically fun!
Billy was born in Chicago, IL. His dad was a football coach so they moved a lot when he was growing up. At a young age he realized that it wasn’t enough that his parents believed in God. He knew that at some point he would have to make their faith his own. So as best he could understand that at age 7, he prayed a simple prayer one night as his parents tucked him into bed. He prayed, “Jesus come into my heart.” God heard and answered that prayer.
Sports were a big part of Billy’s life. In high school, he was an all-conference football player. After high school he went to Liberty University on a football scholarship where he graduated with a degree in Business Administration.
For the past fifteen years, Billy has been the Worship Arts Pastor at Eagle’s Landing First Baptist Church in McDonough, GA. Billy also ministers outside of his church as a singer / songwriter and worship leader. He has produced numerous musical recording projects for himself, his church and other artists. He also works with several members of the popular Christian band, Casting Crowns at his church.
Cassie and Billy live in Stockbridge, GA. They have four grown children, Mandy, Ryan, Kyle & Kenny and four grandchildren, Vanessa, Jacob, Victoria & Lyleigh.
Cassie was born on Vance Air Force base in Oklahoma. She grew up the oldest of 5 children. Her family moved often in her childhood. She came to the Lord at age 5 while living in government projects in Enid, OK. The manager of the projects would gather up the children and hold “Sunday School” in the office where he would tell them about Jesus. Cassie traded her make-believe friends for the most real friend she’s ever known. The simple message she was taught in that office about loving God and loving others, is the message that has shaped her entire life.
In addition to being a singer / songwriter, Cassie is also a life coach and substitute teacher for Henry County. She has an extensive daily “texting” ministry that encourages hundreds of people in their walk with Christ.
